The non-profit VR Foundation accepts a variety of contributed material on vitiligo, melanoma and pigmentary disorders for possible inclusion on the website www.Vitinomics.net. Acceptable submissions may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Feature articles
- Guest columns
- White papers
- Case studies
- Tutorials
- Market overviews
- Product reviews and releases
- Opinion pieces
- Multimedia (podcasts, presentations, videos etc.)
Submission Process
Unsolicited material, except for multimedia files, is accepted via e-mail. Contributors are encouraged to contact the editor before submitting materials, though this is not a requirement. An outline, abstract, or brief description of the article should be included with the e-mail. A brief biography or CV of the author is also recommended. Before submitting a multimedia file, please e-mail the editor with a brief description of the content, along with the file type and file size. The editor will then arrange for the most appropriate method of file transfer.
Topics
All contributed content should be tailored to our audience and quality of life of people with skin diseases. News events, emerging technologies, industry trends and issues, and problem-solving techniques related to vitiligo, melanoma, and pigmentary disorders, are appropriate topics. All contributions are subject to editing for length, content, and appropriate style. Vitinomics reserves the right to deem any submission as acceptable or unacceptable.
Length
News releases should be at least 200 words in length. Articles should be at least 500 words, but may be much longer, depending on the type of article.
Artwork
Contributors are encouraged to submit artwork such as photos, graphics, charts, graphs, or figures with their content. Only digital images will be accepted; JPEG format is preferred. File size should be no larger than 5 megabytes. If deemed necessary, images may be subject to resizing and/or cropping.
Copyright
Contributors will be asked to grant copyright permission to VR Foundation in order to publish their submission. However, we do not require copyright ownership of contributed content, so you may submit it elsewhere after publication on our website. More...The 25June Initiative aims to increase awareness of vitiligo and raise funds for research, national vitiligo associations and support groups. Led by the VR Foundation, this year’s goal is to mark World Vitiligo Day on June 25 a date to be observed annually by the United Nations.
